Primary Activities:

Students are taught to recognize the worth of different cultures, nations, religious and lifestyles through a curriculum which promotes respect for universal human rights.

Every morning, a 40 minute session includes a range of sporting activities, dance, music, art, dramatics and ballet, taught by the teachers and the visiting faculty.

As students progress through their school years, these activities promote opportunities and confidence to enter into school competitions. These activities are designed to increase their communication, leadership, initiative and organizational skills.

These activities extend the opportunities of learning further. Valuable learning takes place, both in and out of the lessons.

Visual and Performing Arts:

Each Child has opportunities to perform, listen to and participate in a variety of activities. Teaching of art involves specific skills, which lead to a completed piece of work. They are taught the various forms of art and painting techniques’ and creative crafts. The Child’s own work is applauded and acknowledging the development of skills involved.

Drama provides a means by which students can learn to be effective communicators and explore and express their own world.

Music – singing songs and using play instruments increases confidence, skill, expression and awareness of their own contribution to performance. Music explores their thoughts and feelings and emotions which come alive with music.

The centre provides the children with an established music conservatoire. As they progress in the years, students will take lessons on the use of instruments along with the regular music class. Students will be provided with regular performance opportunities, a school band, the choir and the annual concert.

PSHE

Physical education curriculum develops pupils’ confidence and competence including swimming, gymnastics, aerobics and yoga. Fitness follows a certain regime, educates the children to keep a healthy mind and a healthy body, through a range of appropriate physical activities such as , games, outdoor adventures, athletics and trekking. New skills with their application are taught and they can recognize their success and evaluate it further.

A sense of team-spirit is enforced through sports. Students are trained for the march-past, band, inter-class competitions and inter-school tournaments. It provides them an opportunity to train for and participate in matches against other schools.
