Lower Secondary stage covers Grades 7 and 8 which lead to the Checkpoint Examination. This programme in Garodia International is a continuation of the IGCSE programme of studies designed to meet the requirement of students. Students at this stage are adolescents and it is particularly a critical phase of personal and intellectual development.
Our programme provides for discipline, skills and challenging standards with a sense of creativity and flexibility.
What are the positive points in Garodia International launching the Checkpoint?
Garodia International Centre for Learning already has a CIE background. ICSE, CBSE and SSC students are fit enough to take the checkpoint programme. Since students are assessed on their strengths and weaknesses , they can perform well in pursuing O Level and A Level courses.
Is the School ready enough for this?
Teachers are already trained by the Cambridge Examination Board. Training is an ongoing process with further future trainings on the anvil. We have a good infrastructure; a good Library for students to do reference work, laboratories to do experiments, and a team of dedicated teachers.
In what way is a student benefited?
They are exposed to an international assessment as early as 14 years of age.
Learning is more of research and inquiry based.
Study materials are available in the school Library.
Students are more self-reliant.
Students who have a state board back ground can also be enrolled as the examination is very student friendly.
