The school curriculum is designed for the new millennium and is based on the latest theories of human development and learning. It is international and multi-cultured, where the social transmission of cultural knowledge and skills is emphasized. We recognize the potential and uniqueness of each child and are committed to prepare them for their life ahead. Our approach is holistic and builds skills, values and self-reliance.
Foreign Language Instruction:
Language is the centre of human life. GICL has made internationalism in its various facets as an integral part of the curriculum. In step with these values our curriculum includes two international languages- French and German which will instill in the students respect for other cultures and a keen sense of being one with the world. Knowing another language leads to an expansion of one’s literary and cultural horizons.
Thinking skills:
Visible thinking and Metacognition are the key words in education today. Development of thinking skills is undertaken by asking questions, inferring, visualizing, determining importance and synthesizing information. Students learn thinking strategies so that they can understand their thinking and think to understand. |
