About Us

Our Journey so far... 35 years ago, in the year 1969 Parmeshwari Devi Gordhandas Garodia started a school in a garage in Ghatkopar, Mumbai. Her school then comprised 7 students and one teacher. Today the same school stands tall in Garodia Nagar in the name of P.G.Garodia School (ICSE), with 2200 students.

Each year we have evolved to become better. While transiting from the SSC to ICSE stream, we have undertaken various school transformation activities, such as resource enhancement, infra-structure upgradation, teacher-training and building cohesiveness in the curriculum.
We recognize the potential and uniqueness of each child and are committed to prepare them for their life ahead. Our approach is holistic and builds skills, values and self-reliance.

As a natural process, we have started the Garodia International Centre of Learning. Here, we integrate the expertise on hand with a new focus towards internationalism. Both our schools will draw from each other.

The Garodia International Centre for Learning is a child-centered institution. Its a full fledged International School, having classes from Pre-School to Grade 12. The School has been awarded International Centre status by the University of Cambridge International Examinations,, one of the world’s leading assessment providers. Garodia International Centre for Learning will now teach and examine a range of internationally accepted qualifications including IGCSE, GCE, AS & A Levels.

As a Cambridge centre, the school offers students in India internationally renowned qualifications that are recognised by educational institutions and organisations across the globe. Garodia International Centre for Learning is proud to be associated with CIE as it enables them to extend their service and offer quality education to the local community.
The central methodology is of guided exploration, where the children unravel the world around them and evolve with the help of their teachers/ guides. The Centre’s curriculum is designed for the new millennium and is based on the latest theories of human development and learning. It is international and multi-cultured, where the social transmission of cultural knowledge and skills is emphasised. This builds on the motto of the school:
“One with the World”.

In order to achieve the above, the institution has made internationalism in its various facets as an integral part of the curriculum. Through the school ’s twinning programmes, schools across the world are linked, to bring in rich resources, methodologies and experiences of different lands and people, that will integrate with the values we stand for.
